Risk-Free Flooring
Bells Pure Ice
Room Repurposing for Ice Manufacturing
Bells Pure Ice upgraded the flooring in its production area as part of a broader expansion, including a cool room extension and new processing machinery. Allied Finishes was engaged to deliver a durable, high-performance coating system built to handle heavy machinery loads and daily production demands, while improving safety and finish quality across the space.
SCOPE

The project covers approximately 410m² of production area flooring, delivered across two stages to work around the facility's ongoing operations. The scope includes full recoating with a PU/epoxy system, targeted repair of failing sections of the existing floor, new and refurbished coving, and epoxy mortar plinths formed around structural columns to protect machinery footings.

PROJECT DETAILS

The existing floor showed signs of wear and delamination in several areas, requiring those sections to be removed and rebuilt before the new coating system could be applied. Allied Finishes specified a polyurethane trowel-applied basecoat with a two-coat epoxy topcoat, finished in a dark traffic grey for a durable, easy-to-maintain surface. Epoxy mortar plinths were formed around structural columns to support machinery legs, and coving was refurbished and extended to maintain a hygienic, seamless transition between floor and wall. The result is a stronger, safer production floor built to support Bells Pure Ice's growing operation.
